Why does Aqua Computing support the ISTQB Certified Tester
Scheme?
This scheme is the international
standard for software testing qualifications, and was developed by an
international team of testing experts. The ISTQB Advanced Level
Syllabus aligns with the ISTQB Foundation Level Syllabus adopted by
ISEB, all ISTQB Boards (more than 40 to date) and supporting
examination boards.

We are accredited to provide
training courses for the:
* ISTQB Advanced Level
Test Manager;
* ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst;
* ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.

Is the Foundation Certificate an
ISTQB or ISEB qualification?
This is the entry level qualification for
software testers taking the ISTQB Certified Tester Scheme. Courses and exams are derived from the ISTQB
Foundation Level Syllabus.
ISEB is the ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level exam provider in the UK, and also accredits
all training providers who deliver ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level courses in the UK. The
one-hour multiple choice exam has questions set from K1 to K4
level [Remember, Understand, Apply, and Analyse].

How is the ISTQB Advanced Level examined?
The ISTQB
Advanced level is examined by a three-hour multiple choice exam, is mainly scenario based, and includes analytical
questions at K4 level. Refer to

Do testers need to take the ISEB
Intermediate Certificate?
It's a prerequisite for the ISEB Practitioner
Level [which is being discontinued by ISEB], but is not required for the
ISTQB Advanced Level. ISEB Practitioner Level examinations will only
be available from ISEB until March 2011.
