    This is an international qualification scheme specifically for software and system testing professionals. See the Certification page for an overview of the ISTQB Certified Tester Scheme.

  2. Why does Aqua Computing support the ISTQB Certified Tester Scheme?
    This scheme is the international standard for software testing qualifications, and was developed by an international team of testing experts. The ISTQB Advanced Level Syllabus aligns with the ISTQB Foundation Level Syllabus adopted by ISEB, all ISTQB Boards (more than 40 to date) and supporting examination boards.

  3. Which qualifications are Aqua Computing accredited to provide?
    We are accredited to provide training courses for the:
    * ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager;
    * ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst;
    * ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.

  4. Is the Foundation Certificate an ISTQB or ISEB qualification?
    This is the entry level qualification for software testers taking the ISTQB Certified Tester Scheme. Courses and exams are derived from the ISTQB Foundation Level Syllabus. ISEB is the ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level exam provider in the UK, and also accredits all training providers who deliver ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level courses in the UK. The one-hour multiple choice exam has questions set from K1 to K4 level [Remember, Understand, Apply, and Analyse].

  5. How is the ISTQB Advanced Level examined?
    The ISTQB Advanced level is examined by a three-hour multiple choice exam, is mainly scenario based, and includes analytical questions at K4 level. Refer to the Exam Format page on the UKTB website for more information.

  6. Do testers need to take the ISEB Intermediate Certificate?
    It's a prerequisite for the ISEB Practitioner Level [which is being discontinued by ISEB], but is not required for the ISTQB Advanced Level. ISEB Practitioner Level examinations will only be available from ISEB until March 2011.
